24“A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a slave above the master; 25it is enough for the disciple to be like the teacher, and the slave like the master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household! 26“So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known. 27What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops. 28Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30And even the hairs of your head are all counted. 31So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows. 32“Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven; 33but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven. 34“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36and one’s foes will be members of one’s own household. 37Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.
Today’s text really lays it out for us doesn’t it? This passage is where the rubber meets the road or as some may say time to fish instead of just cutting bait. “Everyone who acknowledge me before others I will acknowledge before my Father in heaven”
How many times during this “current crisis” have you just thought to yourself that “Lord Jesus come quickly”? If you’re like myself you probably thought that more than a few times. But have you thought that this is a time that we should be preparing for the battle that is upon us. Everyday we hear of strife, envy, stress and pure hatred toward us. We are not immune to this new disease that has been thrust upon us from the left and subversive factions that want to tear down the very fabric of our faith and culture. How long are we going to stand by and let this destruction of our great nation that was given to us 245 years ago by God . There are those that want to completely erase our history, our faith and our existence. They mock us and our beliefs. We have brothers and sisters who have been watering down the word to just a fable to appease a minority of petulant crybaby adults.
Here is the crux of what I am trying to bring to you today. We as a church have let this happen. We have allowed this to persist and as it has been said a lot lately . Silence is condoning, silence is complacency , silence is acceptance.
We are commanded to shout from the rooftops what has been whispered to us. We have an edict from above to proclaim what has been given to us in the dark into the light .
It has been said to preach the Gospel daily, if necessary use words. We as Christians have to remember that we are the only bible that some people may ever read. Our actions that we show. The inaction that we just let happen. These are things that the unchurched and the unsaved noticed.
It is time for Christians to shout on the rooftops those things that were told to us in secret. Are we ashamed of Christ? Well we know what will happen if we are. If you deny me on earth I will deny you to my Father. We need to stop being little timid Christians. We need to put on the whole armor of God and fight for our country. Are we going to just let the liberals, globalists and subversive forces take over our nation? Are we going to let the PC police water down our message because it may hurt someone’s feelings? They have started going after our history and culture. What happens when they feel that Christianty is too racist? Are we just going to set there and take it? The way that some of our brothers and sisters act when they grovel at the feet of the globalists and the liberals it makes me wonder.
We have to stand up and fight for our nation and our culture. We have to stand on our rooftops and proclaim the Gospel. The gospel is the answer to all the problems that our country is experiencing. The message of the love of Christ is what this nation needs desperately right now. We need to fight for the soul of our nation by proclaiming His word and by getting on our knees in prayer and asking God to come once again and let the Holy Spirit to move in our nation to light that fire of revival.
We need to ask His forgiveness for the apathy that we have for our nation and for the souls that inhabit this great country. It begins with us right here right now. Will we stand up and fight?
